The Powermatic DDS-237 drum sanders sports a 7 ½ HP motor that provides the power to the dual steel drums. The drums are kept level at all times and with a heavy duty steel cabinet provides a place for plenty of storage, and also provides a great base for vibration free sanding. The feed motor boasts ¼ HP which extends to a two-speed gearbox which supports both reverse and forward and which will sand 8-12 surface feet per minute.
The DDS-237 has numerous high quality features which include dual dust ports with directional baffles, extremely durable cast iron table, two-speed gearbox, and precise tuning with the independent, and adjustable rear drum. The poly conveyor belt grips wood evenly which mitigates any movement.
