On the outside, the Delta Woodworking Dual drum sander 31-481 has a very sturdy and durable construction. The heavy-duty steel frame construction will assure hours of use along with its superior finish. The top door makes it easy to get the sanders internal parts adjusting and maintenance a breeze.
Delta Woodworking made it easier than ever to change out the sandpaper due to the drum wrap tensioning clips that won’t require any tool. This means more time operating and less time fiddling with some of the more annoying aspects of drum sanders.
The 31-481 model features a 3-HP motor and has a 1/6 HP feed motor with both operating at variable speeds. It reaches speeds of 1550 RPM with the drums operating at 3 to 20 FPM. It can handle wood up to 25 ½” wide with a maximum sanding thickness of ¼”.
